"For years, the content ratings have proven to be one of the most popular tools parents use to help make decisions about what their children watch on television. By taking this step today, these networks are giving parents an expanded set of tools to help determine what their children watch based on their own taste, style and age."

Since viewing television content online is becoming increasingly more popular, this is no doubt the next logical step in helping parents determine what shows are or aren't appropriate for their kids.

Unfortunately, she's not innerested in returning to the show she left behind for bigger, better things, while Lauer reportedly isn't innerested in continuing to work with Curry. On top of decreasing ratings as a reason for her removal, Lauer and the network weren't fans of her performance.

Aww! We thought she was doing just fine, but our opinion doesn't really matter and she'll be gone by the start of the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Since Vieira has passed on the job, we hear that the frontrunner is co-host of the third hour of Today, Savannah Guthrie.

Hopefully she doesn't get promoted only to be fired too...

So … yes … Darion and I saw Garbage in concert — AGAIN — yesterday but I swear, it’s the last time we’ll see the band … for a few months :) We were graciously invited to attend yesterday’s concert performance at the Santa Barbara Bowl in Santa Barbara, CA for the KjEE Summer Round Up (which also featured The Naked and the Famous and Silversun Pickups) and we just couldn’t say no. For the trip, Darion rented a Mustang convertible and off we went! We had SO MUCH FUN! OY! The Best!!

We met up with Darion’s friend Danny in SB and then made our way to the venue. The three of us got to hang out for a bit with goddess Shirley Manson before the show and, let’s be real, that alone made the trek up North worth it ;) The band performed an amazing set of songs and Darion and I were in heaven, obvs. After the show, the three of us grabbed a bite to eat at a place called Carlito’s … then we trekked back to LA. It was a superfun day … one that will tide over these overzealous Garbage fans for a few months … that is, until the band returns to the States after they tour Europe this Summer.

In a few hours, I’ll be on a plane home to Detroit for a few days. I need to check in with my folks and spend some much needed time with my BFF Sarah. I haven’t seen Sarah since she surprised me in Europe on David’s and my engagement trip in February. I’m excited. Have a great Saturday, y’all! I’ll see you next in DETROIT ROCK CITY!

Another day, another intimate Garbage performance. I was invited by 98.7 FM here in LA to attend one of their Houseguest penthouse performances at the famed Hollywood Tower to see Garbage play a live acoustic set. Now, y’all know how much I love me some Garbage so I simply couldn’t turn down the invite. I met up with Darion and our friends Steph and Alec at The Hollywood Tower and snagged ourselves a prime location for the show. Check out some photos and video below.

The band only played a handful of songs but every track was performed acoustically. I have seen quite a few Garbage shows in my day but I’ve never been able to see the band play an acoustic set. They were just amazing. Here is video of the band performing their first ever single Vow:

Not only was the band amazing but so, too, was the location. The Hollywood Tower is one of those iconic buildings that really hearken back to the golden age of Tinsel Town. I’ve always wanted to visit … and yesterday’s performance was the perfect first visit. The views from the penthouse balcony are stunning. Everything about the event was perfect.

After the show, we made our way across the street to the 101 Coffee Shop for a bite to eat and that was my night. If you can believe it, Darion and I are making our way to Santa Barbara this afternoon for — yes — another Garbage performance. I know it may sound like things are getting out of hand but D and I figure we might as well enjoy the band while we can because they’ll be spending the entire Summer in Europe on tour. The trip to SB will be a quick one … we see the show then return home. I fly out to Detroit tomorrow afternoon so … bizzy bizzy bizzy.

It’s Friday, again! Can you believe it? It’s also June. The year is half over … oy!! Hope you have a great weekend!!

The video is so fun and seeing her down on the floor dancing her way over to the audience, having what looks like an absolute blast, and seeing the audience having even more fun, is exactly what I would expect from a Beyoncé Knowles concert. I have to say, this is one of my fave Beyoncé hits, just because it embodies the vibrancy and buoyancy that is her! It is just so impressive that this is her performing for the first time since becoming a mother just 5 months ago.

Her hubby, Jay-Z is super proud of her, as to be expected. He posted onto Twitter the sweetest message: “I’m gonna say this and then I’m gonna end mine.” BEYONCE is the best performer in the world. Period.” LOVE!

HBO and Disruptor Beam Studios just hatched a dragon deal that will not contain the adult-themed material in the show, but promises to let players, 'venture through the ranks in order to achieve greatness by exploring the land and utilizing strategy to overcome the odds.'

Sounds boring.

Here's what Jon Radoff, CEO of Disruptor Beam, had to say:

“Everyone at Disruptor Beam was a huge fan of Game of Thrones long before we began working on the game, so we recognize that other fans expect character-driven conflict and intrigue to take center stage in our new game. Westeros is the perfect setting to deliver on our vision of weaving stories through decisions and social interactions.

Game of Thrones Ascent will bring the world of Westeros to the over 500 million social game players in the market today, featuring original artwork in a highly engaging game experience that is, most importantly, fun for fans and their friends!”

YAWN. Maybe if you get to play as Jon Snow.

The game is still heavily under development, so there aren't many gameplay deets. Otherwise, we're going to recommend to stick to the brilliantly wonderful season unfolding on HBO right now on Sundays!

By comic, we mean graphic novel. We know there's a difference -- calm down nerds! It was just easier for the title!

Mohawk Media has a graphic novel starring the beloved Mr. T, and now that series has been digitalized for everyone's viewing pleasure!

Eco Comics online store is hosting them, and currently has the first five issues of the series!

Written by Chris Bunting and drawn by JL Czerniawski, it straight up sold out when it was being printed normally.

Editor Stuart Buckley said this:

"It was always our intention to release the Mr. T graphic novel as a comic book series. Each chapter was intentionally structured to be the same length as a comic book. However, we've had to adjust to market demands. The graphic novel has sold out. The digital titles of Eco Comics have no print run, and so will never sell out, meaning every T fan can order a copy. The added satisfaction is that the environment hasn't suffered as a result of paper production."

We can get behind that, and we pity the fool who can't!

Yesterday was still very much a quiet day for me … ever since I got home from NYC Monday night, I’ve felt pretty cruddy. My throat has been sore, I’ve been really phlegmy and totally exhausted. I haven’t had the energy to go for a run since I did my 6 miles in Central Park on Monday so I’m itching to get out there again (I didn’t even make it out to see my concert last night). I thought I’d be up for a run yesterday but I just couldn’t do it. Today’s the day, tho, I’m gonna try and run for as long as possible to keep my weekly milage up. All of this exhausted downtime has afforded me the opportunity to read, to, so I’m happy to report that I’m just over halfway thru A Clash of Kings, book 2 of George R.R. Martin‘s series A Song of Ice and Fire.

As you may know, season of of the HBO series Game of Thrones is based on A Clash of Kings so I’ve been really enjoying watching the eps and reading the book. I’ve noticed that there are quite a few differences from the book than the TV series … much more so than was different in season one. I started rewatching the eps from season two last night to help me keep the book in context — which is very helpful — but I’m really looking forward to moving on to the subsequent books and finishing them before season 3 of Game of Thrones debuts on HBO next year.

But, as much as I’ve been enjoying all the reading, I’m kinda anxious to get back to the running. If I’m going to run 2 half marathons and a full marathon later this year, I have to keep up my training. I should be breaking the 9 mile mark soon. Tonight, David and I have a double date with our friends Gray and Jeff so that will be fun. I hope all y’all are having a great Friday and will have a happy weekend ahead!

CBS Unveils 2012 2013 Fall Lineup

Coming off a fairly consistent year, the CBS Network has decided to bring back 19 of their current programs and introduce four new series in their newly-announced 2012-2013 schedule.

Looking to spice things up a bit, shows like “Elementary,” “Vegas,” “Made in Jersey,” and “Partners” will add to the already stellar catalog of CBS goodies.

And of course the much beloved “Big Bang Theory,” and “Two and a Half Men” will be back to keep viewers doubled over in laughter for the duration of the season.

CBS President Nina Tassler told press, “These new series feature a great range of bold concepts, rich characters, big stars and fresh faces. From a new take on Sherlock Holmes to an epic battle for control of 1960s Las Vegas to a working-class point of view in a prestigious law firm, the dramas each have a unique style and sensibility. ABC Announces Fall 2012 2013 Lineup

It’s going to be an exciting time in television this fall, as the ABC network has unveiled some fabulous new shows on deck for their primetime schedule.

In the months ahead, shows like “666 Park Avenue,” “The Family Tools,” “How to Live with Your Parents (For the Rest of Your Life,” “Last Resort,” “Malibu Country,” “Mistresses,” “Nashville,” “The Neighbors,” “Zero Hour,” and “Red Window” will be making their debut.

Patricia Krentcil has earned the nickname Tanning Mom after she was accused of encouraging her five-year-old to use a tanning bed, leading to burns on her skin. But that is now only part of the problems she is facing. Now her favorite places in the whole, wide world—tanning salons—are starting to black list her. According to TMZ, she is no longer welcome at many of the salons near her home in New Jersey. Can you blame them? The one that allegedly allowed the five-year-old to tan is now under investigation as part of the child abuse case against the mother. But all of this leads me to a few questions. FOX Announces 2012 2013 Fall Season Lineup

Keeping their momentum rolling forward, FOX has announced their 2012-2013 television schedule to debut this fall.

And according to the release, viewers will be treated to three new comedy series, including “Ben and Kate,” “The Goodwin Games,” and “The Mindy Project.”

In the drama department, “The Mob Doctor” and “The Following” will be making their debuts, and a few existing shows will be getting new time slots.

Chairman Peter Rice declared, “Television continues to be the most vibrant, emotionally rich platform in the world. FOX has been the No. 1 network for eight seasons by delivering groundbreaking, engaging and culturally relevant shows that connect with our audience, not only on-air, but wherever they are in the digital or social space.”

Matthew Fox Arrested For DUI

Another celebrity has been busted for driving drunk. This time the culprit is Mathew Fox, who was busted for his second drunken incident in the past year. On Friday Fox was picked up by the police in Oregon for allegedly driving drunk. As you may or may not know the actor lives in Bend, Oregon with his family. According to TMZ he was arrested around 3:30 am on Friday. He was booked and released later that day. The website is also reporting that there was another passenger in car. The details surrounding what actually went down haven’t been released yet. There are reports that he was on his way to get some sort of late night food, maybe McDonalds perhaps but again that is just speculation at this time. A rep for the Lost star has not confirmed or denied anything about Fox’s arrest. As I stated above this is the second drunken incident for Matthew in the past year. 7 Days of Sex Day 5: Her Last Chance

Day 5 and it is my turn again. Well, it is supposed to be his turn, but he has a late night of work and so we are flip flopping days. Um, did I mention I am tired? The lovely Cate Blanchett will be lending her voice to the team at Family Guy as the guest star in this week’s episode, airing Sunday night. Cate plays the role of little Penelope, the new girl in town, who like Stewie, prefers to live dangerously. With a slight English-come-Aussie accent, Cate play Stewie’s gal pal perfectly, and she’s a little cutie. Check out the sneak peek of Cate Blanchett in the hilarious animation, Family Guy.

The Oscar winning theater director from Sydney hasn’t been on TV since she starred in the 1995 miniseries, Bordertown, alongside Hugo Weaving. But, she is making her return to television in animated form in the dysfunctional Griffin family.

Penelope is cute, but in this week’s episode she and Stewie get up to some mischief. She isn’t as innocent as she looks. I have to say, I’m pretty excited to see how Cate does in Family Guy. It is a pretty cute choice for her, and she has a great voice, so I think she will do a fantastic job as naughty girl, Penelope. To be honest though, I’m going to be watching just because it is Cate!

Heidi Klum looks good naked, or made up, or anything really. Today we have new pics of her in NOTHING but some body makeup for a new ad for the beauty brand Astor to celebrate its 60th anniversary. Heidi is wearing nothing in the photo shoot but her body is covered in an elaborate body design, which took a makeup artist 12 hours to complete. The photos from this body painting shoot are pretty amazing so check out the full picture below.

Makeup artist Joanne Gair painted Heidi for this photo shoot, which is actually the 13th time that she has been made up for a shoot like this. The result of all that hard work and time seriously paid off…

Heidi went to her blog to show fans her latest shoot and explain the process..

Makeup artist Joanne Gair transformed me into a story of color–literally! The shoot was done to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the brand.

It took 12 hours for Joanne to complete my look, but this actually wasn’t the first time she has painted me from head to toe. This was probably close to the 13th time I’ve been body painted by her, so I’m used to getting it done–the process takes awhile, so you have to be good at being patient! I don’t mind sitting still for such a long time though, it’s a living piece of art that I’m so honored to be a part of.

However, I get so sad when the shoot is over because the beautiful paint all gets washed down the drain!

I love this photo of Heidi. I think the makeup artist is one SERIOUSLY talented artist to be able to paint an entire body, head to toe, to make it look like she is clothed. The swirls of colors, the lines.. Heidi is right, this is an artwork in it’s own right! I think it is also a great idea for an ad campaign for a beauty brand.

I am fascinated to know how they physically did this, I mean, would Heidi be sitting there stark naked while the artist just brushes her body… what happens around the ahem… private parts? Obviously, her body has been positioned in such a way in this shoot that it is all very well concealed, but if she were standing up I wonder how this look would go down.. Regardless, I am so impressed with the talent behind this work – it is seriously amazing and totally beautiful. What do y’all think though??
